Knowing which foil pen is the right one!
We work with office supplies every day. It is therefore important to have the right material to hand for every purpose. Foil pens can be used on all smooth surfaces as long as they are white or transparent. Classic markers can be wiped out. You can choose between different types.
-
Foil pens that can be wiped off with water
Water-based markers can also be erased with water. Once dry, the writing remains difficult to wipe off, and the pen only becomes soluble again after contact with water. You can simply hold overhead transparencies and sleeves under water and wipe CDs or other sensitive surfaces with a damp cloth. -
Foil pens with sponge
These practical pens with a sponge can be wiped away quickly and easily. They are particularly suitable for transparent sleeves or overhead transparencies that are frequently labelled. When used correctly, they rarely leave stains or marks on the transparencies. The sponge is built into the lid of the TimeTEX non-permanent markers so that it can be used quickly. It is particularly practical that there is also a magnet on the cap. This makes it easy to attach the pens to the blackboard, whiteboard or overhead projector after work. Take a look at the numerous chalk & blackboard accessories from TimeTEX. -
Permanent markers with or without eraser
Permanent markers are often filled with alcohol-based inks. Once dry, they cannot be wiped away with water or a sponge. They are particularly suitable for labelling objects that are frequently used. However, there are also foil markers that are equipped with an eraser. The marker can be erased from foils and smooth surfaces.
A further distinction can be made between the pens. The thickness of the writing tip influences how precisely you can write with it. Thicker pens or a thicker tip are easier to read from a greater distance, while finer tips are practical for drawings or smaller notes.
A particularly sustainable tip is to use laminated teaching materials that pupils can fill in with markers. After the lesson, the sheets are collected and wiped and are ready for the next use. For this purpose we have a large selection of glossy and matt laminating films in A5 to A3 format.
