Breeding bees: Fully equipped breeding sets with accessories
Breeding bees with the wild bee breeding set from TimeTEX: Simply buy wild bees and then observe & marvel! Breeding your own bees is one of the most exciting and interesting activities for children. This is not the only reason why keeping bees in the garden at home, at school or in the kindergarten is worthwhile. Keeping your own bees is a brilliant natural spectacle for young and old!
Experience the exciting metamorphosis from larva to wild bee together with the kids. Children can learn so much with the help of wild beekeeping. In addition to the life cycle of the bee, the little ones learn to take responsibility and at the same time awareness of native habitats is promoted. Best of all, keeping your own bees in the garden adds variety and fun to everyday life and lessons.
Discover more exciting breeding sets for school, kindergarten or at home online! In addition to breeding sets for butterflies, we also have sets for breeding ladybirds and plants.
Why protect wild bees?
Many people often only recognise one type of bee: the honey bee. In fact, there are 9 honey bee species and a variety of thousands of bee species that are summarised under the term wild bees. Did you know? - Half of the wild bee species found in Germany are endangered or even threatened with extinction. Yet these industrious insects are among the most important beneficial animals that maintain our ecosystem. For decades, the media has been reporting on bee mortality and the threat to the diversity of animal and plant species.
Help to preserve biodiversity by keeping your own wild bees! All you need is our breeding set. The set is sustainable, easy to use and of course of high quality.

How does bee breeding work? - Here's how
You can buy your suitable set and wild bees in our online shop, by phone, e-mail or fax. Please state your preferred date. Please note that the cocoons are only available from January to the beginning of May! The breeding set is available all year round.
Order the beekeeping set first and set up the nesting block at your leisure before choosing when you would like to receive the wild bee cocoons. Important! The nesting block must be set up outdoors. If the insects find enough food at their hatching site, they will stay close to it or return to it again and again. Therefore, the location of the nesting block should not be changed after the wild bees have hatched.
Once you have received your cocoons, the mason bees will hatch from the middle/end of April, as long as you do not delay the hatching time. This can be delayed until mid-May at the latest by refrigeration. Most wild bees have a life cycle of up to one year.
With the nesting block, kids can observe the metamorphosis from larva to bee. From April to June, there is a lot of activity around the nesting block and the mason bees buzz and fly everywhere, looking for food, laying eggs and building nests - an unforgettable experience for the children!
Our tip! Plan your wild beekeeping in good time and take your time to prepare. This makes beekeeping very easy!
