Please note! You can order the butterfly caterpillars all year round, but they will only be shipped from March to October. You should also bear in mind that you will need to allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
How do I order caterpillars?
Simply order the appropriate rearing kit from our online shop or by telephone, email or fax. Please indicate your preferred delivery date. Please note that we only send caterpillars at the beginning of the week.
You will normally receive your caterpillars and accessories during the week. Once you have received the caterpillars it will take approximately 1-2 weeks for them to pupate. Your butterflies will emerge about 1-2 weeks later.
Raising butterflies at school & kindergarten
Raising butterflies is not only a unique nature experience for the home, but also for schools and kindergartens. Offer children the opportunity to discover the world of butterflies and their metamorphosis live with our exciting Butterfly Breeding Kit. Children can get up close and personal with butterflies, their pupae, caterpillars and eggs. Breeding your own butterflies is a brilliant nature experience as part of primary school science lessons or a great idea for your 'butterfly' project in the nursery.
We have a complete set of 33 caterpillars especially for schools and kindergartens. Each pupil receives their own caterpillar in their own rearing cup, where they can watch it transform into a butterfly over the following weeks.
