TimeTEX noise traffic light for school and nursery
The principle of a noise traffic light is as simple as it is ingenious: you set the noise level that should ideally not be exceeded. If the level rises, the traffic light switches to yellow, if it is too high, it switches to red. In this way, you let the pupils know whether and in what proportion the volume level is being exceeded. As a special effect, the anti-noise traffic light can emit a warning tone like a buzzer if the volume is too high. This makes the noise visible and audible to the pupils.

How does a noise lamp work?
The noise traffic light at school works according to a very simple action-reaction mechanism: the children's behaviour is immediately reflected back to them. The kids are loud and get immediate feedback without you as a supervisor having to shout about the noise. A nice feature: smiley faces with different moods are also printed on the traffic lights. For example, you can see a sad face with the red light. This makes it easier for children to classify the situation.
You set the tolerable noise level beforehand. The anti-noise traffic light can be set in stages from 1-4. This allows different noise levels to be set for different tasks. For tests, for instance, the noise level should be much lower than for group work tasks. As you can see, our noise traffic light is very versatile. It can be easily attached to the wall for permanent use, making it a core element in the classroom. The traffic light runs on a rechargeable battery and is supplied with a power supply. This means you only need to recharge the teaching aid from time to time.

Anti-noise traffic light as an opportunity for reflection

Basically, this model works in a similar way to the conventional noise traffic light. You set the volume in advance, the colour of the traffic light depends on the noise level in class and reacts accordingly. One major difference is that the standard version of our anti-noise traffic light only shows the current situation. Of course, it would be an advantage if teachers could give their students feedback at the end of the lesson. And preferably visually displayed for children. When the green dot appears on the noise traffic light, this is of course the desired, positive feedback. You can specify when exactly it should appear on the scale. For a green dot to appear in the log, the noise level must not be exceeded for a certain period of time. You can set the time window between one and six minutes, depending on various factors such as the age of the children or the teaching situation. You can categorise the noise level with levels from one to seven. If children are quiet during a predetermined quiet phase, a green dot appears on the anti-noise traffic light as a reward. At the end of the lesson, you can praise the pupils for the points they have received and possibly give them an extra reward. This positive feedback makes it easier for the children to work attentively and quietly. This automatically creates calm, which ensures a good learning atmosphere in the classroom.
However, negative feedback can also be communicated well with a noise traffic light for schools and nurseries. You set a quiet phase of between one and six minutes. If this is not obeyed, the traffic light turns red. If desired, a signal tone can be heard if it gets too loud. The red dot is then stored in the scale. The scale therefore has the advantage that it not only shows the current situation. At the end of the lesson, you can see exactly how the noise level has developed over the course of the lesson.
The log function helps teachers to give objective feedback so that lessons can become quieter and more structured in the long term. With the log, you can reflect on the noise level together with your pupils at the end of the lesson and work on it in the next lesson.
